Panther Springs Prayer Shawl Ministry

Compassion and the love of knitting and/or crocheting are combined into a prayerful ministry and spiritual practice which reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace, as well as in celebration and joy. Many blessings are prayed into every shawl during its creation. In addition, each shawl is prayed over specifically for the recipient, asking God to provide healing, strength, and peace for difficult situations, or thanks for those situations that are celebratory.
The prayer shawls are given to members of the congregation as well as friends and family who are not necessarily members—anyone struggling with medical, emotional, or other challenging issues or those who are celebrating a particularly joyful situation.
